Event photo privacy: organizer gallery and guest visibility
Understand your organizer gallery, guest upload page and optional live display before inviting people to share wedding or event memories.
“Private gallery” should come with a clear explanation. Before distributing an event link, decide who can upload, what guests can see and whether a shared screen will display contributions.
Two different spaces
The organizer gallery is where the host and invited co-organizers manage the collection. The guest-facing upload page is how people contribute without creating a guest account. Depending on the event settings, that page can also show uploads and allow interaction.
A QR code or link gives access to the guest flow. Treat it as something to share with your intended audience rather than a guarantee that nobody else can open it. Review available access controls in the event settings and test them with a second device.
Live display is a separate decision
If you run a slideshow, explain to guests which contributions may appear on a shared screen. Avoid showing your organizer dashboard to a room of guests. Check visibility and playback before the event.
A practical host checklist
- Test the guest link outside your organizer session.
- Review visibility and available access settings.
- Explain photo, video and voice-message sharing in your invitation.
- Ask guests to respect people who do not want to be photographed.
- Decide who can help manage the event as a co-organizer.
- Check upload and storage periods in your package.
- Download your archive and keep your own backup.
